Dr. Masashi Tamura earned his medical degree from Osaka University in 2008 and completed his training as a radiologist at Keio University in 2014.

In 2017, he received a Ph.D from Keio University School of Medicine is now working as an assistant professor in Keio University, with special interest in hepatobiliary intervention and imaging evaluation in interventional radiology.

Since 2022 he has been serving as a special-appointed director of the Japanese Society of Interventional Radiology (JSIR).
